Description:
- Develops and manages activities related to import/export activities for the international business.
- This includes regulatory requirements, such as compliance with regulations (State, Commerce, and Homeland Security/Customs).
- Manages all activity related to order fulfillment for the international customers, collaborates with several internal departments to facilitate shipment/delivery and collection for international orders.
- Responsible for the management of the dealer network.
- Manages and negotiates with outside freight forwarders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 10 years experience with import/export activities.
- Must have extensive experience with ITAR, Commerce and US Customs regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of regulations and management of function in a corporate environment.
- Requires a strong background in the ability to understand, interpret, and maintain compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
Experience:
- Must have experience developing and managing activities related to import/export compliance and licensing in support of international business development activities.
- The desired candidate should have familiarity with Harris RF Communications Division products and industry business practices; possess the ability to collaborate, prioritize and initiate actions to satisfy customer and regulatory requirements.
- Must have experience providing interpretation of ITAR and providing direction related to export/import requirements in support of division activity.
