Job Summary:  New opportunity to build a trade compliance program! Full management support reporting to the Legal Department for an aspiring expert in both import and export including CBP, BIS and ITAR regulations.

Duties:  

• Build and manage trade compliance program from the ground up including creation of written procedures, training and auditing
• Investigate, interpret and provide guidance on trade regulations implemented and enforced by  US Customs Regulations, BIS, EAR, ITAR and any other regulatory AGENCIES governing import and exports
• Classify all  imported products under the HTS
• Classify all exported products under the ECCN
• Experience with Export Regulations including BIS
• Make commodity jurisdictions and file appropriate export licenses
• Conduct internal and external compliance auditing
• Ensures proper Commodity classification using CCATS in conjunction with ECCN
• Will be involved in export order processing, monitoring/screening, record keeping
• Liaison with all levels of  internal and external departments in regard to import/export compliance regulations

  
Skills/Qualifications:

• Licensed Customs Broker preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years Import/Export compliance experience
• High degree of familiarity with import/export rules and regulations
• SAP experience preferred
• Ability to self-motivate and motivate others
• Excellent written and oral skills
