CDI has an Immediate Need for an EXPORT MANAGER
Full-time direct job in Melbourne, Florida.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide consultation and guidance to management on all decisions that have import/export impact on import/export operations.
- Participate in discussions with Business Development, Program Management, Procurement, and Engineering to determine requirements for Technical Assistance and Manufacturing License Agreements

- Assisting BD/PM/Procurement/Engineering with completion of TAA/MLA checklist
- Preparation of TAA/MLA documents for initial review and sign off by BD/PM/Procurement/Engineering prior to submission to corporate Trade Compliance Office ("TCO") for review
- Submission to TCO for review, comment and submission to Dept. of State
- When approval of TAA/MLA is received from State review Provisos Limitations with BD/PM/Procurement/Engineering to determine if acceptable to the program
- Obtain sign off of training indicating agreement to Provisos
- Review and approve Export Determination Approval ("EDA") requests for the transfer of technical data associated with any DSP-5 Tech Data license, TAA, or MLA after Initial Notification Letter is submitted to DDTC outlining expected mode of transfer
- Participate in New Business Reviews to help develop strategic plans for export licensing initiatives
- Participate with Export Administrator in Program Reviews to ensure licensing requirements are met on a timely basis
- Critique license applications (i.e. DSP-5, DSP-73, DSP-61) submitted for review by the Export Administrator and Coordinator I - Export/Import

- Shipping - review process for release of sales orders for international shipments
- Procurement - review of import process for compliance; i.e. HTS codes, country of origin, valuation, etc.
- Export Licenses - shipment releases (value/quantities)
- Technical Data releases and documentation of method, etc.
- Assist with the ECCN and HTS classification of products and assist in the development of automated solutions relating to Customs transactions, clearing shipments for export controls, order processing for export controls.
- Provide Export/Import Compliance training to DRS personnel

- 10. Provide back-up to the Export Administrator, Coordinator I, or Associate Coordinator within all functions of Trade Compliance (i.e. shipping, licensing, On-Line Visitor Database, etc.)
- Review, update, and implement DRS Trade Compliance Policies and Procedures
- Provide on-going training to Trade Compliance personnel

QUALIFICATIONS:
- B.A./B.S. degree in related field is required with 5-8 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in Export / Import department required.
- Advanced writing skills required.
- CUSECO required.
- Previous supervisory skills preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidential information required.
- The successful candidate must have technical expertise in all aspects of import/export management.
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing a comprehensive import/export compliance program while integrating effective compliance requirements within on-going business processes.
- This role requires strong inter-personal attributes including: high ethical standards, strong organizational and communication skills, leadership skills, highly self-motivated, ability to motivate others, and a team player.
