EXPORT COMPLIANCE ANALYST

Location:    Houston, TX
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Assist the manager in executing the company’s trade compliance program related to export compliance with a specific emphasis on the EAR
-Identify and recommend compliance procedures,  internal controls and audit targets
-Participate in corporate export compliance training
-Advise company employees on export compliance matters
-Make export license determinations for company hardware and software as well as for sourced items
-Act as-go to person for ECCN and HTS classification decisions for imports and exports
-Maintain company classification database and web based system and record keeping system
 
Skills/Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
2. Strong background and experience in ECCN classification
3. Experience with import classifications under the HTS
4. Export compliance experience
5. Ability to travel
6. Bachelor’s degree preferred
