Responsibilities: This individual will report to the Export Compliance Manager. This position supports all aspects of Mercury’s export compliance program, including both licensing and compliance matters, and helps to manage and resolve the full spectrum of export compliance issues as they arise. Primary duties include providing support to the Export Compliance Manager in all aspects of the export license process for both Department of Commerce and Department of State export licenses, technical assistance agreements and manufacturing license agreements. This position will be responsible for working with the business units to identify licensable transactions, evaluate export license and TAA requests, gather necessary data, prepare all documentation for license/TAA applications and submit the completed applications to the appropriate government agency via DTRADE and SNAP-R. This position is responsible for all export related recordkeeping and maintenance of existing export licenses, TAAs and MLAs. Other duties will include providing assistance with the preparation of all required reporting, commodity jurisdiction requests, investigations and voluntary disclosures, and internal process improvement initiatives. Also assist in jurisdiction analysis and commodity classification of hardware, software and services. Participate in development of policies and procedures as well as audits, assessments and reviews.
Qualifications: Familiarity with the ITAR and EAR and knowledge of export compliance and export licensing with at least two years experience in working in a compliance related position. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written. Knowledge of Microsoft Office. Oracle is a plus.
This position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration regulations (EAR).
