As a market leader at the center of the technology industry, Avnet has an exciting opportunity in their Transportation department in Chandler, AZ for an Import Export Compliance Administrator. This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring Avnet is in compliance with applicable import and export regulations, and is a dynamic position with the rapid growth in Avnet's global market environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in customer account set up, import or export documentation, and license determination.
- Assist in product classifications and jurisdiction requests.
- Design and implement processes, procedures, and educational materials for Avnet to promote understanding of requirements associated with Trade Compliance.
- Provide compliance audit results risk to Avnet’s management in support of compliance performance.
- Assess the impact of regulatory changes and initiatives. Will make recommendations and assist in implementation of applicable changes.

Required Education, Knowledge & Skills:
- A four year college degree in Business or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in import/export compliance with demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and maintain an effective Export Management System.
- Extensive knowledge of all U.S. government import, export, and re-export laws and regulations and an understanding of similar foreign government regulations.
- Working knowledge of export compliance issues specifically related to computer parts, software, and technical data.
- Knowledge of product and technology import/export classifications is required, including rules of origin and tariff classifications.
