Senior Analyst, Global Trade Solutions

Job Description:
 
SUMMARY:
Ensure Cymer is in compliance with applicable global trade and export regulations. Work closely with cross-functional groups in order to implement processes and procedures. Conduct periodic training and perform compliance audits. Assist with ongoing improvements to the import/export compliance systems to manage future requirements and enhance automation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

• Develop and implement programs, policies and practices to ensure that all business units are in compliance with federal, state and local regulatory compliances as it applies to: worldwide Customs, export licenses, compliance matters and classification rulings for lasers, spares, tools, LTPS, EUV, foreign nationals, technology and software with U.S. Customs, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and other local governments.
• Proactively identify areas of trade compliance risk, conduct risk assessment and develop plan of action to eliminate and/or mitigate risk.
• Research, analyze and interpret U.S. and foreign regulations and monitor regulatory and legislative changes for impact.
• Develop internal training materials, educate and provide guidance to Cymer management on export and import compliance and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments across functions to develop improved tools and processes, drive business requirements and ensure effective operational achievement of objectives.
• Document and revise Global Trade Solutions procedures as required.
• Monitor Global Trade Solutions self-audits.
• Other duties as required.
• Provide a leadership role for the work group through advanced knowledge in his/her area of specialization.   Generally free to determine work priorities based on general direction from managers.

Applies intermediate knowledge of principles, techniques and methods in performing job responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and U.S. Customs regulations (CFRs)
