Job Summary |
Provide detailed work in the Customs compliance areas of internal compliance assessments, import or export compliance procedure manuals, classification, valuation, NAFTA, C-TPAT and various Customs programs. |

Principal Duties and Responsibilities |
- Generate revenues as prescribed by customer project contracts.
- Receive, review, and analyze client information for assigned compliance project.
- Determine relationship of any other government agency requirements or Customs special programs in relation to the compliance project assigned.
- Assist in developing an efficient manner of communication with client or client appointed representative to obtain required information for project.
- Record and maintain all client communication in accordance with EGL standards.
- Measure project status on a weekly basis for distribution to client and project manager.
- Issue information to immediate Supervisor on a weekly basis for appropriate billing to our customers.
- Utilize all available resources in providing program information and any other Customs related advice to clients.
- Communicate with project manager any project concerns or issues.
Maintain a high level of expertise in all areas of U.S. Customs Regulations regarding Customs Brokers and the Customs clearance process, classification and valuation rules through self-study, as well as courses and seminars presented by the Company.

Requirements |

Education
/Experience |
- High School Degree or GED required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of work experience and completion of the LDP Program.
- Minimum four to five years related experience.
- Minimum three years industry experience.

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees and customers.
- Maintains stable performance under pressure or opposition; handling stress in a manner that is acceptable to others and the organization.
- Uses appropriate methods and a flexible interpersonal style to help build a cohesive team and facilitates the completion of team goals.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
- Accurate typing and/or data entry skills.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. or international currency, volume, weight and distance measurements.

/Certification |
Customs Brokers license required.
U.S. Export Compliance Officer certification also preferred. |
