Senior Export Compliance Consultant

Location: Arizona and California

We are currently seeking an experienced Export Compliance Consultant for Arizona and California. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in U.S. export regulations (EAR and ITAR) and their application by prime and subcontractors in the defense and commercial sectors of the aerospace and electronics industries. You should also be experienced in the use of SNAP-R and D-Trade.

The position’s primary responsibility is to develop clients’ export compliance programs, including the conduct of audits and the creation of customized Export Compliance Manuals and training programs. You will also be called upon to determine export classifications, seek Advisory Opinions, assist in writing export license applications and Voluntary Self Disclosures, and maintaining the currency of the company’s website.

Ability to understand and apply U.S. export regulations
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
Demonstrated detail-oriented analytical skills
Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
Demonstrated self-direction and the ability to take a program from start to finish

Experience Requirements

Must have a comprehensive knowledge of both EAR and ITAR requirements
3-5 years experience in export compliance activities, preferably in the aerospace and electronics sectors
Facility with MS Office (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint) and Internet Explorer
Bachelor’s degree is ideal
